a short dialogue

I’m back with a new assignment hufftttt! My friends and i made a really short dialogue about complimenting each other, and we have to post it online, so,  here it goes.

Er         :”Hi, Cendy!”
Ce        :”Hi! I never thought you’ll come!”
Er         :”Of course i will come to the Angklung performance.”
Ce        :”Hahahaha. So, how was it? What do you think of it?”
Er         :”It was AMAZING! You and your groupmates played really great! And all of it was so snychronized.”
Ce        :”Thank you, Erin. We practised this piece for a month.”
Er         :”Wow! That’s amazing!”
Ce        :”I know! Anyways, you look awesome with that shirt and the leather jacket.”
Er         :”Awe, thanks a lot.”
Ce        :”By the way, i’ve got to go now. The team is holding an after-party!”
Er         :”Enjoy the party, Cendy!”

I know, it’s super short. Please don’t judge me :((((

Favorite Song

Songwriter: Macklemore
Track Released: August 5th, 2015

This song stucks in my head 24/7. I was scrolling through my Soundcloud when i found this song. I love the beat, the lyrics, and gosh ED SHEERAN!
basically, this song is amazing!!

The song was written for his newly-born daughter, Sloane Ava Simone Hagerty.
The reason why i love this song is because the lyrics are very great! Macklemore wrote about how he's going to juggling to be a good father for his daughter, but also to make music for the world.

The writing process happened before Sloane was born, and Ryan helped push Ben to get the track where it needed to be.
“He was like, ’I feel like it’s missing some vulnerability. I feel like it’s missing a piece of you. Where are you at right now’,” Macklemore said,“I immediately was just like, Where am I at right now? I’m so scared to be a dad. I don’t know what kind of dad I’m gonna be. I don’t know if I’m going to let my addiction get in the way of being a good father.”
Once he channeled those feelings, as he put pen to pad, lyrics — and emotions — started pouring out.
“I wrote the words, ’They say boys don’t cry, but your dad has shed a lot of tears,'” he recalled, referencing the track’s opening lines, “and immediately just welled up, and it just kind of came.”
The verses offer knowing words of wisdom in the form of fatherly advice, while Ed’s chorus captures Ben’s sentiments of uncertainty: “Times are changing, I know/ But who am I, if I’m the person you become/ If I’m still growing up?”
When it all came together — Ryan’s colorfully melodic and delicate production, Ed’s powerful hook, and Macklemore’s pointed rhymes — the result was a point of pride.
“Sloane is a piece of my mom” he said. “And the things that she taught me, I’m gonna pass on to Sloane. And to be able to put that into music in a way that I felt like I captured it is — it’s one of my favorite songs I’ve ever written.”

There are also good advices that teenagers should really do ( silly stuffs, but it's going to be memorable ).

This song tells me that it is okay to show your emotion ( such as crying, especially for boys). It is okay to be vulnerable and not be strong. It is okay to be who you are at the moment, the you, the sad you, what you really are. It is okay to be confused by life, because everyone know, life is a big puzzle, and it takes time to put them into the right places. This song tells me to take opportunity, to believe and listen to yourself.

This song tells me to be true to myself.

I hope you enjoy the song, and the emotional paragraphs that i've written up there hehe.

Growing Up (Sloane's Song) // Macklemore & Ryan Lewis ft. Ed Sheeran
They say boys don't cry
But your daddy shed a lot of tears
They say I should be a strong man
But baby, I'm still filled with fear
Sometimes I don't know who I am
Sometimes I question why I'm here
I just wanna be a good dad
Will I be? I have no idea
They say girls shouldn't be tough
And moms should raise their kids at home
But baby, I know that that isn't true
Cause your momma's the toughest person I know
I wanna raise you to be like her
And watch you show the world how to do it on your own
I'm still tryna figure out who I am
I don't wanna mess this up or do this wrong
I'm gonna be there for your first breath
I don't know if I'll be there for your first step
I can promise you that I'll try to work less
But the tour's routed, and I got this album
Put in so many hours, and I just want the outcome
To be something that I can look back and I can be proud of
Don't wanna be a dad that's living in FaceTime
But I've got a world to sing to and you at the same time
I won't spoil you, you can trust that
For your sweet 16, you get a bus pass
Had your heart broken? Been there, done that
I love you and I can't give you enough of that
Get back to community that raised you up
Read Langston Hughes, I suggest "A Raisin in the Sun"
Listen to Sam Cooke, a change gon' come
You put the work in, don't worry about the praise, my love
Don't try to change the world, find something that you love
And do it every day
Do that for the rest of your life
And eventually, the world will change

I'll be patient, one more month
You'll wrap your fingers round my thumb
Times are changing, I know, but who am I if
I'm the person you become
If I'm still growing up, up, up, up
If I'm still growing up, up, up, up
I'm still growing up

I recommend that you read The Alchemist
Listen to your teachers, but cheat in calculus
Tell the truth, regardless of the consequence
And every day, give your momma a compliment
Take your girl to the prom
But don't get too drunk hanging out the limo
Slow dance with your woman in your arms
Sneak her in after but boy, you better tiptoe
Don't wake your mom up, do yoga, learn 'bout karma
Find God, but leave the dogma
The quickest way to happiness? Learning to be selfless
Ask more questions, talk about yourself less
Study David Bowie, James Bowen and 2Pac
Watch the sun set with best friends from a rooftop
Wear a helmet, don't be stupid
Jaywalk, but look before you do it
If it snows, go outside, build a jump, get some help
Get a sled, thrash the hill with your friends till it melts
Go to festivals, camp, fall in love and dance
You're only young once, my loved one, this is your chance
Take risks, cause life moves so fast
You're only young once, my loved one, this is your chance

I'll be patient, one more month
You'll wrap your fingers round my thumb
Times are changing, I know, but who am I if
I'm the person you become
If I'm still growing up, up, up, up
If I'm still growing up, up, up, up
I'm still growing up

I'll be patient, one more month
You'll wrap your fingers round my thumb
Times are changing, I know, but who am I if
I'm the person you become
If I'm still growing up, up, up, up
If I'm still growing up, up, up, up
I'm still growing up

MY NEW FRIENDDD!!!

Hi guys!! So, i’m back with a new assignment (ew!

I mean, this blog thingy is sort of fun, so, i might enjoy working on the assignments that my teacher gives me. Teehee.

So, i’ll just name this post : “My New Friend”

Does it sound a bit stiff? Well, it should sound stiff, anyway.

So, if you guys haven’t read my previous post, i’m just going to let you know a few little things about me. I’ve been to Bandung a lot, but this is my first time living in Bandung and away from my family, since i’ve succesfully got accepted to one of the most prestigious school in Indonesia (i heard it’s number 1, whoop), SMAN 3 Bandung.

So, since i move to a new city, finding a new friends are also a must.Since i’ve been in school for around three weeks, i’ve known some peoples, mostly in my class though. So, i’ll just talk about this new friend of mine.

Her name is Laila Soraya, and most people call her Laila. She was born in Bandung, on 20th November 2000. She's practically born and raised in Bandung. Some of her hobbies are listening to music, reading novels, watching movies, and writes short stories. She's also the youngest in her family, she has a sister and two brothers.

When we first having our orientation in school, she’s our leader. So, i think she has the spirit of a leader.I think, Laila is a really cute person. I mean, she looks cute, and she’s also tiny, and she’s just cute and small. She’s also very active. Her shrieking voice is so... shrieking. My ears burn because of them—yeah, i’m joking.

Laila is a very nice girl. She’s really friendly, and warm. I thought people wouldn’t accept a new girl like me (i look really suspicious and creepy, and big), but Laila was just super friendly. So, yeah, that’s all about my new friend, Laila.Anyways, check out her blog!!

It's ME!!

Hello everyone. Welcome to my blog.

My name is erin ruth tamara, i prefer being called erin though. (but if you have any creative and amazing nicknames for me, just go with it + a friend calls me rudy and i am confused of the world). And i’m turning fifteen this october, which is awesome. Wow, i cannot believe im turning fifteen. ANYWAYS, i was born in jakarta, 28th of October 2000. So yeah.

I have lots of hobbies, and i’m mediocre in almost everything that i can do. I like reading, writing about some cheesy plots that passes throught my mind. I also liek talking to myself because i find myself very entertaining when i speak . I also like to talk with anyone, as long as they like to talk to me. I can play piano, but i just cant play in front of people. I can draw. Yeah, you can say i’m a bit artsy kind of person.

So, i moved to my grandma’s house to bandung recently since i got accepted in sma negeri 3 bandung (Indonesia’s #1 High School, wow). And, i mean it’s been tough because i’ve just realized i miss many things. I miss my friends a lot. And i miraculously miss my LOUD mom, my annoying lil brother.

Friends. I really cherish my friends because they are awesome. We could just laugh on anything, without caring other’s opinions. We could be just cussing each other, and then next second, we’re taking selfies. Those guys are amazing. I wish i coul keep them in my pocket and pull them out everytime im feeling to talk to them.

MY family is a bit messed up though. My dad is weird, my mom is weird. I’m weird, my brother is even weirder so i’m just as confused as everone with my family. My dad had been into  sman 3 bandung too, and he  had managed to get into ITB and graduated. My mom is also from ITB. Which is awesome, i guess. My brother, he’s just a big piece of meat+lots of fat. His really likes to annoy me.

Achievements. I haven’t achieved anything that makes me proud, that’s for sure. Well, earning sucah a high points for a national exam is an achivement though, but WELL IT ACTUALLY MAKES ME PROUD. I also had been into a music school for eight years, and graduated with a mediocre score. BUT i enjoy playing music even though i never finish it, like, finish learning it until i master it.

I have lots of dreams, and they are very variative i even got confused. Sometimes i wonder, “what is wrong with me?” One time, i just really want to build a zoo, or maybe become a zoo keeper. But i also want to be a director. Or maybe a person who works in a very well-made movie. Or maybe become the writer of the movie, that’d be awesome.
I just want to be a very happy person and a very succesful woman in the future.
